This week has been great, 100% of our time has been spent on giving all our love to Mailstorm. It’s been wonderful.
Something we haven’t been happy with in the game is the controls. They haven’t felt as tight and precise as we desired. So this weekend that’s mostly what I’ve been working on. I made several different types of control mechanics that will be tweaked and play tested over the coming days until we got one that is the embodiment of perfection.
Mario has been working on the levels for the game. Tinkering away as a madman in his corner of the office. He managed to double the amount of map blocks and in between playing inspirational songs on his guitar.
Meanwhile Marcus been looking over the design. Lately we felt as we lost focus on the core of the gameplay.
Some features have been reworked, simplified and cut entirely. On paper the new design feels better and will be implemented and tested as soon we can, presumably next week.
